Audience rating:

The men's sprint on January 5, 2024 was watched by 1.71 million viewers (23.1 percent) on "Das Erste", the women's sprint by 3.04 million viewers (27.5 percent). For the competitions on January 6, 2024, 3.70 million (men's pursuit) and 4.41 million (women's pursuit) tuned in.

Volunteers:

The organizing committee was assisted by 800 volunteers. The following assignments were registered during the World Cup week: 107 volunteers on January 1, 2024, 210 volunteers on January 2, 2024, 310 volunteers on January 3, 2024, 696 volunteers on January 4, 2024, 755 volunteers on January 5, 2024, 763 volunteers on January 6, 2024 and 708 volunteers on January 7, 2024. At 16 years old, the youngest volunteer worked as a steward in the ARENA am Rennsteig. The oldest volunteer is 85 years old and worked at the bus shuttle in Suhl. One volunteer from Rostock had the longest journey of 550 kilometers.

Logistics:

The logistics of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2024 in Oberhof is a mammoth task. 122 functional containers have been set up, 80 of them in the team area alone. A further 30 containers will be kept ready for the „Hüttendorf“, the supporting program and the stewards. There are twelve containers in the TV compound. A total of 598 man fences with a length of approx. 1.5 kilometers, 150 construction fences with a length of approx. 525 meters and 73 wooden fences with a length of approx. 150 meters have been set up. There are 20 toilet containers on the site.

Tickets:

53,000 fans attended the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2024 in Oberhof, including 12,500 on Friday, 20,500 on Saturday and 20,000 on Sunday. They were able to take advantage of the exclusive pre-sale for the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2025 in Oberhof and buy tickets in the ARENA am Rennsteig. By Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 3 pm, around 1,650 tickets for next year's competitions had been sold. Advance sales started at 4 p.m. in the online ticket store at tickets.biathlon-oberhof.de
